The Detroit Public Schools Community District Foundation, alongside ABC Student Transportation, has created an opportunity for four DPSCD seniors who aspire to enter a career in fines arts. Each awarded applicant will receive a $2,500 scholarship.  ABC Student Transportation endowed this scholarship in honor of now retired, Mr. McAllister, and his 40+ year tenure and Fine Arts contributions to the District. 
 

Application Requirements:  

  • Complete the online application 
  • Must be a graduating senior from DPSCD 
  • A letter of recommendation by a DPSCD teacher, counselor, or principal 
  • Official transcript 
  • Acceptance letter, program registration, or enrollment confirmation 
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA 
  • Students will be required to submit a 1-page APA formatted personal statement explaining: 
    • Who you are
    • What are your academic goals
    • What impact has fine arts had on your life
    • How will you benefit from this award 

Application Deadline is May 13, 2024  

All documents need to be submitted in PDF format. 

All scholarships funds will be distributed to the institute directly.
