Literacy & Early Childhood Education
Literacy and early childhood education provide the building blocks that give children the confidence and skills they need to be successful learners, thinkers and doers — now and in the years ahead.
Brewer Academy Library Improvements
When Detroit Red Wings player Justin Abdelkader read his children’s book, “Shoot for the Goal,” to more than 500 students at Brewer Academy, his story about dedication and hard work had even greater meaning. Abdelkader and his wife, Julie, funded the renovated space and reading program at Brewer Academy to ensure students have the resources they need to grow their language and literacy skills.
