On Friday, September 11, 2015 the students, teachers and staff at the Spain School witnessed corporate citizenship at its best. Approximately 20 members of the Detroit Ally Financial team delivered backpacks full of school supplies to every student in the school. Seven hundred and fifty backpacks were given to all students K through 8. Ally team members read to the students in early childhood classrooms, and/or spoke with students about their work in the upper grades. Additionally, 50 books were donated to the library to assist students in developing financial literacy knowledge and skills.
It is through partnerships such as this, that students are made aware of the caring and concern for their education that exists within the community. Ally is leading the way and hopefully their leadership will inspire others to give.
