James Coleman is vice president, client and community relations director for PNC Bank in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. 

James has more than 15 years of financial services experience, serves as chief of staff to the regional president and manages the local PNC Foundation. 

Prior to being named to his current position, James served as a relationship strategist in the PNC Private Bank, managing complex client and internal relationships. Since joining PNC in 2007, he has held several business development and management positions in Retail Banking, Financial Wellness, Diversity & Inclusion, and PNC Private Banking. In addition, James is a founding member of Detroit’s PNC LGBT Employee Business Resource Group. 

James serves as the board chair for the Ruth Eilis Center, Highland Park. Board member for Hope Starts Here, Royal Oak United Methodist Church Finance Committee and the Detroit Diversity and Inclusion Council Executive Sponsor.  

James graduated from Baker College with a degree in business administration. 

Married with 3 dogs.
