The Detroit Public Schools Community District Foundation created a $2,000 opportunity for DPSCD graduating seniors. The recipient must have been accepted to an accredited 4-year higher educational institution or Community College. To receive the funds, the student must be enrolled at the college or university full-time. The scholarship may be used towards tuition, fees, books, and housing.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete the online application
  • Must be a graduating senior from DPSCD
  • A letter of recommendation by a DPSCD teacher, counselor, or principal
  • Official transcript
  • Acceptance letter and class registration
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Students will be required to submit a 1-page APA formatted personal statement explaining:
    • Your academic goals
    • Where do you see yourself in five years
    • Your family life/support

All documents need to be submitted in PDF format.
All scholarship funds will be distributed to the institute directly.
