The DPSCD’s Office of Equity, Advocacy and Civil Rights is sponsoring a Virtual Student Showcase as part of the District’s celebration of Arab- American National Heritage Month. The theme is “The Arab-American Experience: What is meaningful to you in your culture?”.

Submissions must include the student’s name, teacher’s name, grade level and title of project and sent to The subject line should read: Arab-American Heritage Month and include the Project and School Name.

Projects can be submitted in any of the following forms: Essay, Poem, Artwork, Video (mp4 format), Dance, Rap, or Song. For essays and poems, students should record a reading of the essay or poem as part of the submission in the mp4 format. In addition, students submitting projects in other formats may also include a 2-3 minute video (mp4 format) discussing their submission.


This virtual project is open to all students, not only students of Arab descent. All students will receive a certificate of participation.
