DPSCD alumni Charlie Grant, Jr., is not only one of the district’s transportation vendors, he’s also one of the Foundation’s most consistent donors. His recent gift of $118,500 to the Foundation brings his lifetime contributions to over $800k!
Mr. Grant’s generosity has been used throughout the district to advance a variety of initiatives, including scholarship support, STEAM programs, assisting unhoused students, developing career pathways, and more. We’ll use his most recent donation to maintain The Willie McAllister Jr. Scholarship; support the DPSF Strategic Plan; and purchase books over the next two years to promote reading in the classrooms.
We are in awe of Mr. Grant and his team at ABC Student Transportation; we are grateful for their continued commitment to DPSCD not only as a vendor and alumni, but as a consistent supporter of our students and their families.
