As we reflect on 2024, one of the most inspiring moments was awarding $250,000 in scholarships to exceptional Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) students. This milestone represents more than financial support—it’s an investment in the dreams, potential, and futures of our students.

For many DPSCD students, scholarships are more than financial assistance—they’re a lifeline that turns aspirations into reality. By alleviating financial burdens, scholarships open doors to higher education, empowering students to pursue their passions and achieve their goals.
This year, we reimagined our Scholarship Reception to give each recipient a unique and meaningful celebration. Held at East English Village Preparatory School, the event transformed the space into a vibrant, welcoming environment where students felt truly celebrated.
Students like Zaara Noor, who shared her plans to attend the University of Michigan-Dearborn, emphasized the transformative power of this support:
